Alyx is your full-service caffeine kit based around a talking espresso shot glass named...Alyx! It's based on three things:
Quickly logging caffeine.
Seeing how caffeine affects you, particularly your sleep.
Best-in-class iOS integration.
New in iOS 27:
Apple Intelligence visual drink logging. Using Visual Intelligence, or via the entry view in Alyx with Apple Intelligence selected, Alyx now uses Private Cloud Compute to log drinks or figure out their caffeine contents.
Siri's onscreen awareness. Essentially every Alyx screen, and even the Last Call alarm, tells the system exactly what it's showing: which drink, which entry, the day's cutoff. With them open, you can ask Siri about any of it. For example — today's entries open, 9 pm, wired: "Which of these is still in my system?" Siri knows each row is a logged drink with a time, Alyx knows the half-life math, and the two work together.
Your drinks in Spotlight and Shortcuts. Search "cold brew" from the Home Screen and Alyx's entry appears. In Shortcuts, pass an Alyx drink to the new Use Model action and it can reason about them ("pick something low-caffeine for tonight").
Hands-free from anywhere."Log espresso in Alyx" (with Undo), "How much caffeine have I had?", "When should I have my last coffee?" are all spoken answers now, which means they work over AirPods and CarPlay. Every drink in the library and every favorite you create also gets its own Siri phrase automatically.
A smarter Last Call. Your personal caffeine cutoff now reads how much sleep history it's actually permitted to see, and falls back to a conservative default when the data is thin instead of inventing a confident verdict.
Privacy, still. Caffeine-and-sleep insights never leave Apple's models. That feature carries health data, so it never touches a third-party model.
Cost for Caffeine Club Membership:
One-time: $24.99
Monthly: $1.99
Annual: $9.99
And a free plan.
All Caffeine Club features are always free and accessible in Shortcuts: For example, the Sleep Forecast is a paid feature, but you can still access it in Shortcuts, paid or not.
What's included in the Caffeine Club? All charts, widgets, sleep forecasts, caffeine at bedtime calculations, and more. If you use the app, you'll clearly see what's "paywalled" via a blur over some particular thing.
Cool Stuff:
The gradients in the background of Alyx represent your caffeine limit. The closer you are, the more red they become.
By setting a loose bedtime goal, Alyx can calculate things like how much caffeine you'll have in your body around bedtime, how your sleep is impacted by it, and more.
